Why you should try hair extensions — even with thick hair – The Times

There are several things my hair could always do with. A conditioning treatment, for starters. My parched ends are forever stuck in the Sahara Desert crying out for hydration. A haircut too. I went into “must grow hair to bum” mode in lockdown and, actually, when I chopped the front into shorter layers it gave me some much-needed definition around my face. Next, something to tackle flyaways. My hair perpetually requires a helping hand when it comes to my nemesis, sprouty anklers. And on a humid day I am more hedgehog than human.
Indeed, I have big hair. Very big, puffy hair — and lots of it. When it hasn’t been permanently straightened, it’s wild and messy and furly (read: curly frizz). I am careful
