After months of anticipation, many couples are finally starting to gear up for their big day. It can be easy to become overwhelmed by all of the skincare and beauty advice out there, especially if you're looking for wedding tips and tricks.
To learn more about how to achieve the wedding glow for brides or grooms, we chatted with three experts in the field: Amanda Macino, North American Valmont Expert; Regine Berthalot, Caudalie's Lead Esthetician & Global Spa Training Manager; and Kassie Whitteker, Manager of Spa Operations at the Miraj Hamam Spa in Toronto.
All three experts stressed on the importance of staying hydrated leading up to your wedding.
"Hydration is the secret to glowing skin. Not only on the inside by drinking plenty of water but also by feeding your skin hydrating ingredients and formulas from the outside," Macino shared. "Incorporating a hydrating mask once a week in a beauty routine will ensure perfectly hydrated, plump and glowing skin."
Macino recommends avoiding trying new skincare products up to three weeks before your wedding, while Berthalot also stressed sticking with the products you know work for you.
"If you do experience a break-out or flare happens to occur a few days before the big day, incorporate a targeted blemish treatment that can be applied to areas of concern," Macino noted.
Getting enough rest is the key to healthy and happy skin, since when you're asleep is the time when skin is hard at work correcting all of the damage that was done throughout the day.
"In the evening, the skin focuses on repairing, removing dead skin cells and creating new ones," Macino noted. "By getting enough rest, our skin is able to properly do its nightly tasks which leads to long-term healthier and younger-looking skin."

Exfoliation is one of the best things you can do for your skin, since without exfoliation, your skin cells accumulate and create a dull complexion.
"Try exfoliating 2-3 days a week (either mechanical or chemical—my favourite is chemical) to speed up that cellular renewal process," Whitteker suggested. "Biologique Recherche’s Lotion P50T [is a top pick] to even out the skin tone, decongest, and brighten the skin."
When it comes to which ingredients to look out for, Berthalot wants brides and grooms to consider including hyaluronic acid in their routine, as it ensures skin stays hydrated leading up to the big day.
"Niacinamide is also a great ingredient to even out the skin and grape seed polyphenols, which protects against the free radical damage," she added.
In recent years, jade rollers have become a beauty staple to energize and and regenerate the skin.
Berthalot recommends using them with a hydrating racial oil or after your serum and moisturizer. You'll want to roll on the skin from center to the sides for a draining effect, and upwards for a lifting and toning effect. To finish, be sure to clean your tool by wiping with a cloth and alcohol after each use.

While you may choose to be covering your face for health and safety reasons, on the big day, Whitteker recommends also using eye patches and sheet masks as a way to depuff and brighten skin on the morning of the wedding. Since you typically do not wash off sheet masks and leave the products on the skin upon removal, they leave behind a flawless, luminous finish.
