It’s been a busy week for Princess Diana and Prince Charles actors Elizabeth Debicki and Dominic West, as they were once again spotted filming new scenes for series five of The Crown in Palma de Mallorca today.
Elizabeth, 31, stunned in a statement leopard print swimsuit, thought to be inspired by a similar ensemble worn by the Princess of Wales during a trip to Saint-Tropez in July 1997, just a month before her tragic death in a Paris car crash.
The Australian actress was joined on location by Dominic, 51, who sported a light blue check shirt, as they sailed in a boat alongside casually-dressed child actors Timothee Sambor, 11, and Teddy Hawley, seven, who are playing Princes William and Harry respectively.
Earlier this week, the four actors were sported boarding the prestigious Christina O yacht off the shore of the Balearic Island, in scenes recreating the royal family‘s trip to Italy in 1991 – which took place a year before the couple divorced.
During the Nineties, Princess Diana and Prince Charles had embarked on a holiday with their sons, then eight and six, which saw the family unified for a cruise on the Prince of Wales’ beloved Alexandra yacht, despite the couple being just months away from calling off their marriage

It appears The Crown’s costume department took inspiration from the princess’ stylish vacation number when dressing Elizabeth for her scenes today.
Boasting Diana’s signature locks, the actress, who is taking over the role from Emma Corrin, sported dainty golden hoops, similar eye-catching sunglasses to the royal’s original pair, and a statement leopard print swimsuit.
Child actor Timothee looked just as much the part in a Tommy Hilfiger top, while Teddy donned a white top, black sunglasses and matching watch for the family boat trip.

The trip to Italy in 1991 will have seen the royals put on a brave face as their marriage began to implode behind the scenes, in a year that saw the pair give their union a last ditch attempt at survival.
While cracks in the pair’s marriage began to show back in 1987, Diana had begun to speak out for the first time about her unhappiness, discussing her marital issues and difficulties in secret interviews with biographer Andrew Morton.
Although the tapes were not made public until the following year, following the release of Morton’s book Diana: Her True Story, they showed that the princess was extremely unhappy in her marriage and had attempted to commit suicide on numerous occasions.

Charles was said to have a soft spot for Alexandra, dubbed ‘the love boat’ after taking both Diana and Camilla out on the yacht over the years. Later in life Princes William and Harry and a gang of friends, also went aboard.
Luxury motor yacht Alexander was built and designed in 1965 by German company Lubecker Flender Werke. With a steel hull and superstructure, she measures 122 metres and can accommodate up to 80 guests.
Alexander cruises comfortably at 16 knots and boats a crew of 57 to ensure the needs of guests are met during the charter
Amongst her 40 cabins are 14 suites each with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a ; a master suite with bathroom, separate Jacuzzi and ; and 12 staterooms with private en suite facilities.
Alexander features a disco bar, 27-seat cinema, children’s playroom and among her extensive list of amenities.
Alexander covers the scenic locations of Naples, Sicily, the Riviera, Corsica, Sardinia, Greece, Spain and the Balearic Islands but is currently unavailable for sale or charter

Christina O was completely gutted during her most recent refit and accommodates 34 guests in 17 staterooms. The superyacht is available for charter via Morley Yachts acting as her central agent. During the peak season, the pricing starts from €630,000 per week (with €560,000 a week in the low season).
Although the royals are not known to have travelled on Christina O, it will have acted as a great alternative for filming scenes designed to look as though they were aboard Charles’ favourite yacht, Alexandra – owned by the billionaire Greek shipping magnate families, the Latsis.
The royals enjoyed several trips on the 400ft yacht Alexander – which boasts Turkish baths, chandeliered ballroom, private cinema and disco.
Alexander was, at the time, the world’s third-biggest private yacht, and had solid gold taps and a swimming pool on every deck.
