Barber may have a reduced workload in Monday’s road game against the Chargers with Josh Jacobs (ankle) active.
With Jacobs available for the first time since Week 1, it remains to be seen how the backfield will break down Monday, but Barber could split early down reps with Jacobs while Kenyan Drake retains much of the change-of-pace work. Still, Barber remains active, so he may earn enough snaps to be a viable option versus a Chargers defense that has allowed an NFL-worst 5.5 yards per carry to running backs this season.
