Let’s face it, the last year was a blur. A lot of businesses hunkered down, busily reinventing, rethinking and reimagining themselves. And making updates by any means necessary. The ever popular milk + honey spa and has added a full range of medical aesthetics services to the menu at most of its locations, including the spa in The Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth.
The Austin-based milk + honey spa has always offered luxe treatments and a tranquil environment, with four spas in Austin, one in Houston and one in Fort Worth. Its first spa outside of Texas opened recently as well. That one is located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
We asked Founder, Alissa Bayer and Dree McCarrel, milk + honey’s brand marketing manager, for all the details about the new medical aesthetic treatments:
When did you add aesthetics? Will it be added to the other three Austin area spas as well?
We launched our menu of medical aesthetics service offerings last fall. Currently, milk + honey  medical aesthetics is available at our Arboretum Market location in Austin, River Oaks in Houston and Clearfork in Fort Worth. We will be launching at our Brentwood location in Los Angeles very soon.
These services will eventually be available at all milk + honey spa locations.
Why did milk + honey add this to the menu of services? How does it make you an even more full-service spa?
For several years, we worked behind-the-scenes to identify a medical aesthetics menu that aligns with our values and to ensure all services we offer are safe, effective and administered by experienced, well-trained medical professionals.
We were thrilled to launch milk + honey medical aesthetics, our enhanced spa experience with our medical director Tyler Hollmig, the director of dermatologic surgery and director of laser and cosmetic dermatology at Ascension Texas.  Our medical aesthetics treatments include neurotoxin, soft tissue fillers, microneedling, BBL photofacials, PRP for hair loss and laser treatments for fine lines and skin rejuvenation.
How has it been received by your regular clientele?
Our spa and salon clientele already trust us, so our expansion into medical aesthetics has received a warm welcome. Most of our growth has been organic and through word-of-mouth. In fact, a lot of spa and service providers have referred clients to milk + honey medical aesthetics. It’s really convenient to add on a quick Botox or Xeomin reservation to your salon appointment.
