Henry says he learned of the fire through a phone call from his wife, an Orlando police officer, Friday night.
“She said, ‘honey, you need to come down to the barber shop,’” Henry recalls.
When he got there, Henry says he wasn’t prepared for what he saw.

“I’m working on some opportunities in the Parramore community,” Henry said. “I don’t know exactly where I’m going to be just yet…my options are open, but my heart is in Parramore. It’s just something about this place. I love it.”
The owner of the building that housed J. Henry’s barber shop says they’ve already hired a contractor and an architect to rebuild as quickly as possible. He said they value J. Henry, and want him to stay as long as he’d like.
