Arcanum Medical Spa officially opened its doors Sept. 6. Co-owners Dr. Victoria King, who has been serving the community of Fremont County, and Lisa Pearson, who moved from Virginia to the region in 2010, opened the business together.
“Dr. King is a facial plastics surgeon, so she’s been in the community providing similar types of services for years,” Pearson said. “We just decided let’s get top-of-the-line lasers and offer the highest level of service that we can.”
Arcanum has a speakeasy feel to it at the entrance of the building, and alcoholic beverages such as wine are available for those who are old enough to purchase it.
“Arcanum is actually another name for secret,” Pearson said. “So, if you go down the rabbit hole, we went with the speakeasy theme, there are the secret passageways and those types of things that go with speakeasies, and Arcanum fit in that way. But it also can fit a little bit with just aesthetic services in general.”
The spa offers many different services, including laser aesthetic, fillers Botox, and PRP, or plasma-rich protein.
“I think one of the things we do here that’s not readily available around everywhere is hair restoration services with platelet-rich plasma,” Pearson said. “People don’t realize that if you’re starting to lose hair or if you’ve lost hair but still have the follicles there, you can stop it from continuing and get some regrowth.”
The goal of Arcanum Medical Spa is to provide the community with a luxurious and unique spa experience. The company has six total staff members, including medical providers and an aesthetician.
From 5 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29, Arcanum will host a Boo’tox Party IV hydration with B12. A makeup artist from the Suite Life in Cañon City
will be doing Halloween makeup at the event.
“We’re doing a collaboration with the Suite Life and the Boys & Girls Club and we’re going to have a raffle to benefit the Boys & Girls Club and discounts on packages for Suite Life’s things and for our things,” Pearson said.
Arcanum will offer discounts on certain products based on the focus area that they have each month.
“Hair is our focus this month,” Pearson said. There’ll be different types of discounts next month.”
These discounts can be found on Arcanum’s website, which also has other aspects to it.
“There is a secret page on the website, and you have to dig around and click on things to find it. That will always have a secret password and a very deep discount service,” Pearson said. “So, it’s worth spending some time on the website.”
The spa is located behind the Chili’s at 113 Latigo Lane, Suite A. Appointments can be made online, and any questions can be made by calling the office phone or via email, both of which are available on their website. Arcanum can also be found on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
