Linden's Fresh Market and Charitable Pharmacy Brings Optimism – Ohionewstime.com

The market opened last week in an area that many consider to be a food desert.
Columbus, Ohio — In the Linden community, some new fresh markets and philanthropic pharmacies meet great needs.
Last week, a ribbon cut was made.
A few blocks below the store is Jonathan Smith’s Clean Cuts Barber Shop.
“I think Linden’s doors are open to people,” Smith said.
He has been running a store for the last few years. Recently, part of the story has focused on new markets and pharmacies.
“The fresh market is new to me and not yet in it. If you’re true to what they’re advertising, it seems good for the community,” he said. ..
The old eagle market is in its former location and is fulfilling for many in this community.
“Children can get fresh and delicious food before they wear football equipment,” Smith says.
From fresh and healthy food to medical care through pharmacies, Smith doesn’t want to die of what’s so good and what it needs.
Are you going to keep the integrity of the place, or are you going to keep everything fresh there,” Smith said.
From where he stands, that’s exactly what the community needs. Smith has long seen Linden turn into a food desert. He believes it will stop now.
“Linden’s doors are definitely open, so these things will be good for the community,” he said.
The market will open at the next date and time.
