From burial services to the beauty industry, Zodwa Wabantu is expanding her business empire.
The South African entertainer, who launched a beauty brand in 2020, which includes perfume, lipstick and petroleum jelly, also announced the launch of Zodwa Wabantu Premium Cider later that year.
The 35-year-old’s entrepreneurial endeavours did not stop there, and in 2021 she started Zodwa Wabantu Chicken & Eggs, selling live chickens and eggs, followed by Zodwa Wabantu’s Undertakers Mortuary.
Now, the mother-of-one has announced that she’ll be opening a hair salon in Richards Bay in November.
Woman love looking beautiful, while they’ve told me that I’m ugly, I’m not pretty, so I’m showing them that anyone can buy beauty, so they have to buy their beauty from me. So they must stop forcing me to wear make up or to do weaves… the salon is for them,” Zodwa told TshisaLIVE.
About her entrepreneurial spirit, Zodwa previously told Daily Sun: “We don’t know what the future holds for artists, and I don’t want to be broke. That’s my biggest fear. I had to be proactive and think of other ways to make money.
