NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Carl Barber Sr., 58, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Swoyersville, passed away on Aug. 20, 2021, at home.
He was born on Oct. 3, 1962, in Wilkes-Barre, to the late William Barber and Eleanor (Sopata) Barber. He was a 1980 graduate of Coughlin High School. He also graduated from McCann School of Business. He was married to Sandy (Brannon) Barber.
Carl worked at Sallie Mae before moving to Tennessee. He then worked for Ford Motor Credit in Nashville.
Carl had a love for family, music and guns. He was a self-taught acoustic guitarist and an avid gun enthusiast.
He was predeceased by his father, William Barber; sister, Karen Kluk; and brother, William Barber.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; son, Carl Jr.; mother, Eleanor; brothers, Matthew, Michael (Renee), and Steven (Jeannie); sister, Julie (Walter) Woss; his late brother William's wife, Maureen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
