Following is a listing of executive and legislative action for the week of Oct. 4. Both houses of the General Assembly were in recess at press time. The Pennsylvania Senate was set to reconvene Oct. 18. The state House of Representatives was scheduled to return to session Oct. 25.
On Oct. 7, Gov. Tom Wolf signed into law five bills, including legislation that would provide flexibility for individuals seeking their barber or cosmetology license and legislation that would give physician assistants a greater role in patient care.
