BUCKHANNON — Service men and women, both active and veteran, will be offered a day full of freebies and discounts in Buckhannon on Thursday. Among the special offers to honor service personnel is a day of free dental work by Wilson Martino Dental on October 14.
Freedom Day USA brings a beautiful opportunity for participating businesses to offer free services or goods to those who sacrificed their safety for our freedom. The dental offices of Wilson Martino Dental, TLC, and the Smile Defenders in Buckhannon, Bridgeport, Elkins, Fairmont and Morgantown, along with 100 other businesses will be participating in this special nationwide event. If any spots are still available, past and present members of the military can be scheduled for an appointment by calling 1-87-SMILE-WIDE and patients must provide some type of Military I.D.
The following local businesses will also be offering prizes and treats to celebrate Freedom Day USA.
Sam’s Pizza – Door prizes for three winners to get a free large, one topping pizza.
Fox’s Pizza – Door prize of $20 gift certificate good towards dine in or carry-out.
Southern States – Door prize of a set of Carhartt bibs.
Pop’s Furniture – Bottled water for each Freedom Day guest, plus door prizes of two $25 gift certificates.
Mountain Mama Market + Artistry – Door prizes of a WV dog bandana, graphic shirt, and handcrafted pottery.
Country Hair Salon – Door prize of a free haircut gift certificate.
Dough Re Mi – Free pour of coffee w/Military ID at 39 College Ave.
Anderegg Jewelers – Free ring cleaning at 9 E. Main Street.
Stone Tower Brews – Free coffee of your choice at 5 E Main Street.
The Donut Shop – Free small coffee and donut with Military or Veteran I.D.
Just Cuttin’ Up – Free haircuts for all military and veterans.
Aaron’s Furniture – 20% off retail purchases and/or first month’s free rent on any new lease agreement.
Anita’s Flowers & Boutique – 10% off with Military I.D.
Endo Solutions CBD Hemp Store & Museum – 20% discount with Military or Veteran I.D.
Tateep Unique Boutique – 10% off purchase
Main Street Antiques – 20% discount with a Military I.D.
Caplan’s Jewelry Store – Door prize of a Vera Bradley Campus Backpack, valued at $115.
Advanced Hearing Solutions – Free hearing screenings and cleaning/checking of all hearing aids at 16 S. Kanawha Street. For information, call (304) 472-1100.
McDonald’s – Free Combo Meal for veterans/active military. Offer valid at all JW Ebert McDonald’s locations in Barbour, Braxton, Gilmer, Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Preston, Randolph, Taylor, Tucker, and Upshur counties.
Military members are encouraged to take advantage of these participating business offers as a “Thank You” for all they have sacrificed for the freedom of the United States of America.
