Betty’s Bath & Day Spa is one of the most popular local retreats in Albuquerque, and for good reason. Guests can utilize the spa’s baths and sauna, and there are a plethora of massage and facial options, as well as packages. One great feature at the retreat is the South Suite where individuals, couples or groups can relax in privacy while having access to standard amenities.
Regarding the holidays, owner Lisa McCulloch said, “We do have a Couples Retreat that many of our guests love, particularly in the coming winter months.”
The 90-minute treatment includes a massage, salt glow and warm oil scalp massage in a private double room. The package is priced at $385 plus tax.
Couples aren’t limited to specific packages, however, and any service can be upgraded.
McCulloch said, “Any of our massages or spa treatments can transform into a couples experience when booked in one of our cozy double rooms.”

The Remedy Day Spa
The mission is the name for The Remedy Day Spa. Customers can choose from various massage treatments, signature facials, spray tanning or waxing services, and there are also yoga classes and workshops offered. Any service can be purchased and paired, but the retreat also has monthly and annual memberships available.
The most popular couples’ service at Remedy is its Day of Wellness for Two which includes an hour-long couples massage, two 30-minute scalp treatments or facials, and an hour-long soak.
Remedy founder and owner Mandy Warr shared, “We’ll likely be adding some complementary holiday surprises to this package during the holidays, like some sweet treats!”
The package is priced at $450. For couples on a budget, Warr recommends a one-hour private soak for two – robes and sandals included – which runs at $50.

The Back Porch Day Spa
The Back Porch Day Spa has something for everyone. It offers massages and focused body treatments, facials, pedicures and body wraps and scrubs. Or, if one service just isn’t enough, it has packages available for one person or two.
For its holiday promotion, The Back Porch will be featuring its Mystic Evening package, which includes a one-hour therapeutic massage and one-hour dermalogica perfection facial. Priced at $320, owner Shannon Rockett says the package will come with hot tea and cookies by the fireplace.
“This two-hour package is a couple’s favorite and is guaranteed to please,” she said.
Rockett also mentioned that the Cozy Couples CBD Massage is becoming popular as well. The one-hour treatment is priced at $190.

Love’s Healing Touch
Love’s Healing Touch, owned by sisters Love and Sunbeam Stropnicky, is all about the natural approach to revival. The spa has a solar-heated hot tub, a cedar sauna and a pool set for a cold plunge, as well as a relaxing garden courtyard. There are a plethora of different massage and body treatments to choose from and a variety of facial options.
Love Stropnicky said the most popular package for couples is a 90-minute massage paired with a one-hour bath pass. Originally priced at $340 plus tax, she shared that the spa is running a special during the month of November. The discount will bring it down to $320 plus tax.
