This fall, you can do more than go pumpkin picking and snack on apple cider donuts. Opt for some seasonal self-care and treat yourself to a facial, scrub or massage featuring some of autumn’s best ingredients: cranberry, maple, cinnamon, and pumpkin, of course. Below, find nine fall-inspired beauty treatments available at spas and salons in and around Philadelphia.
Pumpkin facials are all the rage this time of year, and for good reason. Pumpkin is rich in vitamins A and C, both of which have antioxidant properties that can help to hydrate and exfoliate dry skin, protect against UV damage, and give you a naturally radiant glow.
Over at Nirvana Wellness Medspa in Northern Liberties, their 60-minute facial ($125) uses a pumpkin enzyme to resurface, brighten, and even out your skin tone, and includes extractions and a lifting massage. The treatment ends with a pumpkin and marshmallow mask to infuse skin with antioxidants and moisture.

The 60-minute pumpkin spice facial ($155) at Fabriq Spa in Queen Village features an enzyme peel made with pumpkin, carrot, and bromelain (an enzyme extract from pineapple stems), plus a fresh masque made with pumpkin puree, cinnamon, coffee, honey, and brown sugar meant to reduce redness and lock in moisture. Fabriq’s facial is available through March.
Skin House Facial Bar’s 30-minute pumpkin spice recharge ($85) starts with a pumpkin enzyme mask and a booster serum that helps reduce discoloration, diminish oxidative stress, and nourish and brighten the skin. You can book this service November 1st through the 30th.
All three Philly-area Joseph Anthony locations feature the new seasonal tension relief scrub ($110-$130 in Center City; $70-$90 in Springfield and Glen Mills). The 45-minute spa treatment is infused with all the best autumnal and wintry scents — peppermint, lavender, eucalyptus, sage, and chamomile — to leave you feeling totally refreshed and in the seasonal spirit.

Your skin isn’t the only thing that deserves some TLC. Moko’s forest scalp treatment ($85) incorporates essential oil blends of pumpkin seed and black cumin, as well as clove, cinnamon, and cedar, to soothe a dry or itchy scalp, which can occur as temps drop. The 45-minute treatment is paired with a pumpkin creme hair mask — plus a neck and shoulder massage — to help keep your hair hydrated and shiny. The package is available until December 21st.
For couples looking to elevate their fall dates, head to Le Rêve Rittenhouse Day Spa. Their “Scary-Good” couples package ($670 for two) — which is available through the end of November — starts with a 60-minute aromatic Swedish massage featuring cinnamon and clove essential oils, continues with a 30-minute pumpkin facial and a 30-minute “mummy” scrub meant to remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate your skin. After, enjoy up to 45 minutes in their wet steam/dry sauna, where you’ll enjoy a warm cup of cider and some chocolate candies.

The Seasons of Chakras massage ($225-$250) at The Spa at the Four Seasons is meant to promote the movement of good energy throughout your body and leave you feeling totally relaxed. The 60-minute light pressure body work is paired with seasonal aromatherapy — so for fall, think cinnamon, clove, and cardamom essential oils — and the calming hymns of crystal singing bowls. This massage is available year-round, but these particular scents only last through the end of winter.
The Away Spa at the new W Philadelphia hotel offers a fully customized 50-minute Daily Facial ($165) meant to be an antidote to fatigue and stress. This fall, the facial features a detoxifying, pore-opening spicy cinnamon steam from local beauty purveyor Franklin & Whitman.

No time for the day spa? Try an equally indulgent DIY facial with products from Sabbatical Beauty’s fall skincare collection. Start with the Maple Cleanser ($75) made from mostly maple water (that is said to have amazing anti-aging effects) and will make you smell like a delicious glazed donut, because why the heck not? Treat any seasonal skin dryness with the Maple Essence Toner ($108), which, besides maple, includes white willow bark extract, a natural exfoliant. To top it all off, apply the Pumpkin Spice Latte Serum ($108) for skin firming, toning, lifting, and brightening. The serum is made of different pumpkin extracts, caffeine, and milk so it’s a literal PSL for your skin.
